About the Role
The Industrial Risk Management Engineer will be responsible for identifying and evaluating hazards associated with boilers, machinery, and equipment while consulting with clients in Canada. During on-site client visits, they will perform machinery risk assessments to evaluate risks to boilers, pressure vessels, turbines, and other capital machinery, as well as electrical equipment and utilities.
This role involves providing consultative recommendations to minimize risks from associated equipment. The candidate may also conduct in-service jurisdictional inspections of boilers and pressure vessels.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting on-site risk assessments and evaluations of industrial facilities.
- Providing expert advice to clients on minimizing risks associated with equipment and machinery.
- Performing in-service jurisdictional inspections of boilers and pressure vessels.
- Working independently with minimal supervision, conducting office responsibilities from a home office, and collaborating as part of a team.
- Traveling extensively to client sites, with estimated overnight travel at approximately 35%.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a Bachelor's degree in the field. A minimum of three years of experience within high-challenge industries and manufacturing domains is required, with predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
A valid driver's license and ability to travel to the United States are essential. Membership in Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is also required.
