We are seeking a seasoned Risk Management Specialist to lead our Health and Safety team. As the ideal candidate, you will have a strong background in commercial and industrial construction, with a minimum of 10 years of experience.

Job Description:

This role involves overseeing all aspects of health and safety, including incident investigations, HSE inspections, and mentoring junior staff. You will also be responsible for reviewing and implementing the company's Health and Safety Program, as well as conducting training sessions for employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in investigating incidents to identify root causes and develop control measures.
  • Conduct regular HSE inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Mentor and support junior staff to ensure they meet their HSE requirements.
  • Review and maintain the company's Health and Safety Program.
  • Deliver safety training to employees.
  • Perform internal and external audits as required.
  • Ensure compliance with COR and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Develop and implement safe job procedures, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness plans.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial and industrial construction.
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree, or relevant experience.
  • National Construction Safety Officer Designation, Gold Seal, or CRSP is preferred.
  • COR expertise is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office and PDF programs.
  • Travel may be required throughout Southern Ontario.
