At Alstom, we're committed to creating a more sustainable and efficient transportation system. As a Track Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Light Rail Transportation projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support and guide the systems engineer, project maintenance, and maintenance crew to propose new solutions, follow implementation, and validate changes.
  • Provide technical advice to the track maintenance crew to minimize delay minutes in a safe and efficient manner during service incidents.
  • Coordinate and provide technical support for any service incidents, utilizing existing business tools to determine the appropriate corrective actions.
  • Analyze data from system downloads to determine the correct course of action following an event.
  • Review the track defect position to minimize the risk of service failures and provide technical and operational advice to depots in relation to service delivery.
  • Maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all track infrastructure systems and business tools required to carry out the role.
  • Collate and analyze data from system downloads to report on existing defects, identify minor failures that require corrective maintenance, and communicate accordingly.
  • Liaise with other parties, both internal and external, where support and advice are required.
  • Accompany track test runs and inspections when required, and be aware of and support corporate problem-solving tools, such as 8D and PDCA.
  • Act in a safe and professional manner at all times, both on site and when representing Alstom at external suppliers or customers' locations.

About You

We value passion and attitude over experience. To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years' experience in an engineering-related field, combined with experience in the field of public transit vehicles in a manufacturing and/or maintenance environment.
  • Knowledge of transit railway workshops and operating environments, including processes, procedures, and safety.
  • Good knowledge of track railway infrastructures and civil installations.
