Job Overview

First Student Shared Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Employee Benefits Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our benefits team, you will be responsible for providing expert support and guidance on all aspects of employee benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on employee benefits, including health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and other compensation programs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including payroll, benefit administration, and external auditors, to ensure accurate and compliant benefit administration.
  • Perform regular audits and analysis to identify areas for improvement and recommend process enhancements.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance colleague knowledge and skills related to employee benefits.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for colleagues with less experience, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Employee Benefits functions, with a strong background in retirement plan administration and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a focus on quality control and data accuracy.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel, pivot tables, and V lookups.
What We Offer:

We are committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off. Our competitive salary range for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
