About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at ATI TRUCK REPAIR LTD. As a Welder, you will be responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to join metal parts together.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to join metal parts together.
  • Metal Shaping and Bending: Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines to prepare metal for welding.
  • Brazing and Soldering: Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal.
  • Production Line Management: Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line to ensure efficient production.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding work environment requiring prolonged standing, walking and lifting.
  • Physical Capabilities: Requires hand-eye co-ordination, sitting and standing for extended periods.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 35 hours per week.
