Job Title: Front Desk Agent

Miette Mountain Cabins is seeking a skilled Front Desk Agent to join our team. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Responsibilities:
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms
  • Investigate complaints and claims
  • Resolve complaints and claims
  • Take, cancel and change room reservations
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services
  • Process guests' departures, calculate charges and receive payments
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures
  • Clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying)
  • Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
  • Contact customers to deliver requested wakeup calls
  • Provide customer service
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
  • Experience: Will train
  • Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail, Fast-paced environment, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure
Computer and Technology Knowledge:
  • Multi-line switchboard
  • Word processing software
  • Database software
  • Computerized bookkeeping system
  • Central reservation system (CRS)
  • Internet
