Strategic Medical Leader for Fraser Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Medical Director - Learning and Research to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of healthcare in our region.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic medical leadership to develop and implement a vision for Fraser Health's Learning and Research programs, working collaboratively with senior leadership, faculty members, and external partners.
- Program Development: Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services to advance strategic transformation initiatives, including enhancing the Fraser Health Research Network and partnerships.
- Medical Education: Integrate medical education as a standard in primary care clinics and networks, providing clear pathways to graduates into internships, residencies, and training for medical student supervisors.
- Research Collaboration: Collaborate with provincial research stakeholders to implement collaborative medical research programs within Fraser Health, negotiating and evaluating medical research collaboration agreements with post-secondary institutes and academic institutions.
- Partnerships and Fundraising: Establish relationships with grant agencies, academic institutions, and research networks, acquiring and managing fiscal resources necessary to develop an infrastructure conducive to excellence in research.
- Medical Leadership: Provide medical leadership to support the successful implementation of the Fraser Health Research Institute (Health System) and other Fraser Health research and development initiatives.
- Representation: Represent medical investigators and the Medical Research portfolio within Fraser Health, collaborating with Fraser Health Program, Regional and Site Medical Directors, clinical leaders, and university faculty leaders to recruit and retain the best medical researchers and investigators.
- Eligibility for membership on the Fraser Health Medical Staff.
- Five (5) years leadership experience within the healthcare sector and experience in hospital-based leadership.
- A master's degree in health administration, nursing, business administration or equivalent experience.
- Additional leadership training.
- Experience with budgetary and operational planning.
