Strategic Implementation Lead, SFU Medical School

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Project Director to lead the implementation of the SFU Medical School across Fraser Health. This is an exciting opportunity to have a positive and lasting impact on healthcare at Fraser Health and throughout British Columbia.
The Project Director will be responsible for leading the development, coordination, and implementation of the project across Fraser Health. This will involve collaborating with SFU project team members, Fraser Health corporate support departments, and operational and clinical leadership to plan, direct, coordinate, and implement initiatives to facilitate the implementation of the clinical placement and faculty aspects of the medical school.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Health, Business Administration, or a related discipline, supplemented by certification/designation in PMP (Project Management) and/or PROSCI (Change Management). They will have ten years of recent experience in a complex healthcare environment, including five years of progressive project and/or change management leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, coordination, and implementation of the project across Fraser Health.
- Collaborate with SFU project team members, Fraser Health corporate support departments, and operational and clinical leadership to plan, direct, coordinate, and implement initiatives to facilitate the implementation of the clinical placement and faculty aspects of the medical school.
- Advises the Executive Director and co-Medical Leads on the strategic objectives and implementation of the project and sub-level activities/working groups.
- Oversees the implementation of the project, including timelines, critical path, progress, accountabilities, and budget.
- Develops and maintains partnerships with key partners, including VP Medicine, Fraser Health medical staff and staff, Fraser Health Executive Directors, Program Medical Leaders, Medical Affairs, and Local Department Heads and operational leaders.
- Communicates effectively with FH leadership to obtain/understand operational priorities, issues, and constraints.
- Provides leadership in networking and negotiating to ensure that required organizational standards are met and sustainable supports are in place.
- Responsible to lead the formation, selection, development, and management of a project team of employees and/or consultants to achieve value for the organization.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Health, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Certification/designation in PMP (Project Management) and/or PROSCI (Change Management).
- Ten years of recent experience in a complex healthcare environment.
- Five years of progressive project and/or change management leadership experience.
