IT Technical Support Professional

The Computer Support Technician position at Langara College is responsible for providing technical support to users throughout the institution. This role requires a client-centered approach, adhering to established policies, practices, and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to hardware and software incidents, as well as user requests, in a timely and effective manner.
- Provide training to users in a one-on-one or group setting, ensuring they have the necessary skills to utilize technology effectively.
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex technical issues and improve overall IT services.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements, applying this knowledge to enhance user support and services.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum two years of experience in providing technical support to users, with a strong understanding of computer systems, software, and hardware.
- ITIL Foundation Certification or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with users at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
