Job Summary:

The Interior Health Authority is seeking an experienced Administrative Services Assistant to join their team at the Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre. This permanent part-time position requires a highly motivated individual who can provide exceptional administrative support to the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of reception, administrative, and Health Unit Aide support duties
  • Provide data entry services, including gathering, organizing, collecting, collating, and verifying information
  • Prepare presentations, arrange meetings, transcribe minutes, book travel, and maintain records
  • Schedule and confirm client appointments, receive, record, and check balances of cash transactions
  • Maintain and clean medical/surgical supplies, equipment, and HCIS resource material
  • Conduct vision screenings, weigh and measure babies, and calibrate equipment

Requirements:

  • A current supervised 5-minute typing test with a speed of 40 wpm or greater, completed within the past 24 months from a recognized institution
  • An Office Assistant Certificate
  • A current valid BC Driver's License
  • A Resume
  • A Cover Letter stating availability to start in a new position

Work Environment:

This role will work Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 14:30, with days off on Saturday, Sunday, and statutory holidays. The Interior Health Authority offers a wonderful working environment and a solid team of experienced professionals.
