Job Title: Personal Support Worker/Guest Attendant

We're seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Personal Support Worker/Guest Attendant to join our team at Aspira Carolina Retirement Living.

Job Summary:

The Personal Support Worker/Guest Attendant plays a critical role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents. This is a part-time position, working 4 shifts bi-weekly and every other weekend, with 5-hour shifts. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to resident call bells and door alarms, providing courteous and respectful service.
  • Complete all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignment.
  • Transport residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office, and dining room as required.
  • Perform laundry and housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Deal tactfully and courteously with residents, residents' families, and report any concerns or complaints to the supervisor.
  • Practice safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role.
  • Current First Aid/CPR training.
  • Excellent command of the verbal and written English language skills.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate is preferred.
