Job Title: Expert Math Instructor for High School Students

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced math instructor to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. as a part-time teacher-tutor.

About the Role:

  • This is an in-person position working with students from Grade 7-12, teaching math concepts and problem-solving strategies.
  • You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach, following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
  • Our ideal candidate has experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 9 to 12 level and possesses strong knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math curriculum.
  • A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels.
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
  • Filling in post-lesson notes and completing daily student communication updates.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in Math or related fields.
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
  • Teaching certification is an asset.
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.

Schedule:

  • Evenings (4:00pm - 8:00pm) Monday to Friday.
  • Saturday availability.
