Are you passionate about teaching children to swim and making a meaningful difference in their lives? We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Swim Instructor to join our team at Goldfish Swim School - Ontario.

About the Role

As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swimming lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. You will also be expected to enforce safety rules and regulations, make rescues and administer first aid when necessary, and interact with parents/guardians to ensure their satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver swimming lessons based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
  • Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents
  • Evaluate students' performance to ensure ongoing improvement
  • Interact with parents/guardians to ensure their satisfaction
  • Use problem-solving/creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter
  • Inspect pool areas before and after each class for possible maintenance, cleanliness, or damage issues
  • Maintain and ensure proper storage of all pool equipment
  • Report accidents and incidents to management
  • Occasionally perform light cleaning duties
Requirements

We require a commitment to work a minimum of two shifts per week. You must be at least 16 years old and possess a current Lifesaving Society Bronze Cross or NL certification, as well as a current Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED certification. Previous experience delivering high-quality swimming lessons is preferred.

We offer a flexible schedule to accommodate school or other activities, staff referral bonuses, team-building events, a starting rate of $19 per hour, and pay increases at 12 months of continuous service. You will also receive discounts on swim lessons for family members.
