Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Holiday Inn Kingston Waterfront. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the highest quality of food and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our guests and exceed their expectations.
  • Food Preparation: Supervise the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Staff Management: Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties to the best of their ability.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of food and supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet the demands of our guests.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all food and beverages meet our high standards.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate.
Working Conditions:
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks.
