Job Description

As an Application Support Senior Analyst at CB Canada, you will be responsible for providing technical and business support for users of applications. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing quick resolutions to app issues and driving stability, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements.
  • Maintaining application systems that have completed the development stage and are running in the daily operations of the firm.
  • Managing, maintaining, and supporting applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality, and functionality against service level expectations.

You will also be responsible for performing same-day risk reconciliations, developing and maintaining technical support documentation, identifying ways to maximize the potential of the applications used, and assessing risk and impact of production issues.

The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in an Application Support role, with experience installing, configuring, or supporting business applications. You should also have experience with some programming languages and a willingness/ability to learn.

Key qualifications include advanced execution capabilities, effective written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated analytical skills, and issue tracking and reporting using tools. Knowledge/experience of problem management tools, Hadoop/Big Data Platform, Linux, database, and scheduler/monitoring tools are also required.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can exercise independence of judgment and autonomy, act as a liaison between users/traders, internal technology groups, and vendors, and provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations.
