We are looking for an experienced English to French Translator to join our Translation and Linguistic Services team in the Montreal office.
About the Role
- Translate various Accounting and Assurance documents
- Translate various Tax articles and reports for Advisory Services
- Translate service offers and documents for Marketing, Human Resources, Payroll, etc.
- Provide linguistic advice
- Conduct terminology research
- Understand and follow the firm's work methods and terminology to ensure consistent quality of translations
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
To succeed in this position, you will demonstrate BDO's core values: Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration. You should be self-sufficient and resourceful, understand your client's industry, challenges, and opportunities, and deliver high-quality work.
Requirements
- Degree in Translation required
- At least 5 years of practical translation experience in the financial or accounting sector (an asset)
- Project management skills
- Strong knowledge of computer-assisted translation software (SDL Trados Studio) and terminology databases
- Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of Accounting and Assurance terminology currently used by members of the profession and CPA Canada (an asset)
- Professional with a strong emphasis on teamwork and client service
- Member of OTTIAQ (an asset)
