Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Improvement Specialist to join our team at Northern Health Authority.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement clinical practice improvements to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders, Information and Technology Services, and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities.
  • Provide oversight and facilitation of quality improvement changes, ensuring effective and efficient care delivery.
  • Lead the coordination, implementation, and completion of projects and initiatives that drive clinical practice transformation and innovation.
  • Work closely with data analysts and other stakeholders to identify and address data-related issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clinical educators, end-users, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five to seven years of front-line clinical care and related experience, working in clinical operations and using electronic medical records.
  • Proven ability to guide, coach, teach, and promote a learning environment and continuous quality improvement.
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to develop detailed clinical or technical documentation, training aides, and how-to documents.
  • Intermediate computer skills and ability to work comfortably with spreadsheets, presentations, diagramming, and word processing software.
  • Ability to foster innovation throughout complex evolutionary change and see connections between issues, events, and data points.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to manage diverse groups and individuals, working in stressful clinical situations.
  • Superior small and large group facilitation skills and individual coaching skills, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of motivation with a positive attitude and high degree of flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience in project management, with the ability to organize and prioritize work and balance multiple activities concurrently.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
