About the Role

Brookfield Renewable is a leading global renewable energy company, and we're seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Manager to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the delivery of HR services within a shared services framework.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Canadian and US HR laws, as well as a minimum of 5 years' experience in HR service delivery management and shared services oversight. You will lead and manage a team of HR professionals, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure service excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize HR service delivery processes within a shared services framework.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of HR services such as payroll processing, employee onboarding, offboarding, and employee data management in HRIS.
  • Lead and manage a team of HR professionals responsible for delivering shared services to internal clients in Canada and the United States (US).
  • Continuously evaluate and improve HR service delivery processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, digitalization, and implementation of self-service tools to streamline HR service delivery.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including HR business partners, managers and senior leadership, to understand their needs and expectations for HR services.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers supporting HR service delivery, ensuring adherence to service agreements and quality standards.
  • Ensure HR service delivery practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Utilize HR analytics and reporting tools to track key performance metrics, identify trends, and generate insights for decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in human resources or related field.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian and US HR laws.
  • A minimum of 5 years proven experience in HR service delivery management and shared services oversight.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience leading a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder engagement abilities with an ethical mindset.
  • Knowledge of HR processes, policies, and regulations.
  • Experience with HR analytics and reporting tools.
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements and standardization initiatives.
  • Experience with UKG (HRIS) is considered a strong asset.
