We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Entuitive. As a key member of our structural practice, you will work on small and medium projects, assisting in maintaining a high level of service and growing our Special Projects team in Ottawa.

About the Role

The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for delivering special projects work, including attending client meetings, developing internal project budgets, reviewing existing structures, and working with architects and consultants to prepare detailed structural designs. You will also pursue special projects growth opportunities by attracting new clients, attending business development initiatives, and mentoring junior staff.

Requirements
  • A degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering.
  • 7+ years of industry-related experience.
  • P.Eng. designation required.
  • Experience in business development and writing proposals.
  • Experience in structural design and/or construction engineering for buildings.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with people at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and deliverables on an ongoing basis.
  • Working knowledge of construction materials and products used in building construction.
  • Working knowledge and ability to use various programs such as SAP, SAFE, Woodworks, Bluebeam, Hilti Profis.
