Job Opportunity

Entuitive is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our structural practice, you will work on small and medium projects, assisting in maintaining a high level of service and growing our Special Projects team in Ottawa.

About the Role

The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for delivering special projects work, including attending client meetings, developing internal project budgets, and reviewing existing structures. You will also work with architects and other consultants to prepare detailed structural designs and coordinate with Entuitive technologists to develop drawings for permit, tender, and construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver special projects work, including client meetings, budget development, and structural design
  • Pursue special projects growth opportunities through business development initiatives and networking
  • Monitor internal project costs and review monthly invoicing to ensure budgets are maintained
  • Mentor and train junior staff in technical aspects of structural design and project delivery
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering
  • 7+ years of industry-related experience
  • P.Eng. designation required
  • Experience in business development and writing proposals
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with people at all levels
