We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at AST Restaurant Inc. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen areas.
Key Responsibilities- Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Place dishes in storage areas and replenish condiments and supplies as needed.
- Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- Package take-out food and stock refrigerators and salad bars to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Take customers' orders and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
- Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- Handle and store cleaning products safely and efficiently.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit to support our culinary team.
- Repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods are a regular part of this role.
- Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) of weight may be handled as part of this role.
