About the Role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet the staffing needs of our organization. This role will collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements, develop effective recruitment strategies, and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the full cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  2. Partner with senior leaders and managers to anticipate staffing needs and adapt recruitment efforts accordingly.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with candidates, building a strategic pipeline for existing and future hiring needs.
  4. Represent the organization's brand and value proposition at external recruitment events.
  5. Actively participate in networking efforts with industry organizations and other potential candidate sourcing contacts.
  6. Provide recruitment subject matter expertise and coach hiring managers on the hiring process.
  7. Facilitate orientation and ensure onboarding of new hires is completed in alignment with recruitment priorities and processes.
  8. Align with the Human Resources Manager on national diversity and HR strategies to integrate into daily sourcing and recruitment.
  9. Confirm background and vulnerable sector screen checks, vaccination, and credentials are completed in a timely manner.
  10. Conduct comprehensive market assessments to ensure effective utilization of recruitment resources.
  11. Contribute to continuous improvement projects within the Talent Acquisition team to support the growth of our employer brand, increase sourcing capabilities, and improve hiring processes.
  12. Participate on workforce planning teams to anticipate hiring needs and create a comprehensive recruitment plan.
  13. Deliver on tactics and goals identified in the recruitment plan.
  14. Create an effective recruitment strategy and pipelines to access top-level talent, while delivering timely and effective customer service and support to internal hiring managers.
  15. Facilitate positive and memorable candidate experiences with frequent and timely communication throughout the recruitment process.
  16. Creatively source candidates for positions utilizing various recruitment channels, including direct sourcing, referrals, networking, and online job boards.

Requirements

  1. University degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience.
  2. At least 3 years of high-volume recruiting experience.
  3. Experience with Microsoft Office software applications.
  4. Excellent technological skills.
  5. Experience with Taleo and PeopleSoft considered an asset.
  6. Experience hiring across multiple teams.
  7. Proven ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  8. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and a natural ability to build trusting relationships.
  9. Excellent organizational, priority-driven, detailed-oriented, and independent skill set.
  10. Excellent collaborator and team player.
  11. Strong attention to detail.
  12. Experience using behavior-based interview techniques.
  13. Ability to travel to community organizations, schools, and career fairs for presentations, as required.
