Transformation and Advanced Analytics Expert

We are seeking an experienced Transformation and Advanced Analytics Expert to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for advancing the delivery and output quality of business transformation programs by providing actionable data insights and building data-based products.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will work cross-functionally with stakeholders from Business, Technology, product, Ops, Risk, and Finance to drive innovation and contribute your technical expertise in solution design, implementation, and risk identification.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to identify business processes that can be transformed in FSS by building new data products or pipelines
  • Developing AI and Machine Learning models, both individually and as part of the broader technology team
  • Working with the Risk and governance team to obtain model approvals, as required
  • Building and improving data pipelines using automation capabilities in Python
  • Creating dashboards using data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI

You will also be responsible for raising the bar of data science and analytics at FSS by driving data best practices, improving analytical processes, documentation, scaling tools, and mentoring other team members.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working cross-functionally across business, technology, and risk
  • At least 5 years of experience in advanced analytics and machine learning
  • Expert-level skills in extracting and manipulating large datasets using data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and scripting languages (e.g., Python)
  • 3+ years of experience implementing data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience building and scheduling complex data pipelines
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Resourcefulness and a genuine interest in problem-solving

About the Salary

We estimate the salary for this role to be between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, based on factors such as location, industry standards, and qualifications.
