Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Digital Transformation Expert to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in driving user-centered design across our digital products and platforms.
About the Role
This is a contract position with an estimated duration of 5 months + extension option, offering a competitive salary of $85,000 per annum. The ideal candidate will have a strong expertise in user research, interaction design, and information architecture, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
Responsibilities
- User Research & Strategy: Conduct and oversee user research initiatives, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and analytics reviews, to understand user needs and inform design decisions.
- Design Leadership: Define and lead the UX design strategy for new and existing products, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to incorporate technical requirements, iterate on designs, and deliver seamless product experiences.
- Accessibility & Inclusive Design: Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards, optimizing for diverse user needs and promoting an inclusive user experience.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in UX design are a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in UX design, preferably with a portfolio that demonstrates success in designing complex and scalable digital solutions.
- Proven experience with both qualitative and quantitative user research methods.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and experience designing for diverse user needs.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, or similar.
- Knowledge of user research and analytics tools (e.g., UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, Google Analytics, Hotjar).
