Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Farm Operations Manager. As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our farm, ensuring the efficient and sustainable production of crops and livestock.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Crop and Livestock Production: Coordinate planting, cultivating, and harvesting activities to ensure optimal crop yields and animal health.
  • Implement Sustainable Practices: Develop and implement sustainable farming practices, such as crop rotation, reduced-till or no-till, water and nutrient management, and precision farming technology.
  • Manage Feed Inventory and Supplies: Oversee the purchase and management of feed, seed, and other supplies to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Train and Supervise Staff: Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of the farm.
  • Maintain Financial and Production Records: Accurately record and maintain financial and production records to ensure transparency and accountability.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
