About the Role

This is a temporary position with the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) in the Housing Program Team. As a Business Planning and Reporting Specialist, you will provide strategic advice to inform business planning and use key report presentations to support planning and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide substantive advice on strategic planning, based on information gathered internally.
  2. Manage the monthly reporting of client issues for reporting to senior management.
  3. Work with sector and senior management to identify, develop and implement innovative solutions to business challenges.
  4. Manage business reporting and monitoring while reviewing and maintaining data integrity for senior management.
  5. Develop and maintain an overview of the dashboard for concise reporting.
  6. Carry out a range of activities to develop an in-depth and ongoing understanding of critical business requirements.
  7. Build alliances with other teams and maintain relationships.
  8. Enforce strategies to influence business partners and facilitate the development of desired outcomes.
  9. Lead teams within the business unit or across the Corporation to accomplish key business objectives or initiatives.
Requirements
  1. An undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as business administration, finance or computer science.
  2. A minimum of five years of relevant experience in project management.
  3. An understanding of dashboard, metrics, analysis, operating environment, trends, business.
  4. An advanced analytical ability, the ability to model and assess risks and the capacity to think strategically and look at the big picture.
  5. Strong communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to interpret and present complex information in a succinct way in both official languages (English and French).
  6. An ability to build and manage effective working relationships with peers, internal and external contacts.
  7. An ability to model and assess different business risks, advanced technical skills in data manipulation, reporting, analysis and visualization.
  8. Demonstrated project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience with Power BI.
  2. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or any other CRM software.
  3. Knowledge of Python, SQL or a similar language.
