About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Lead to join our team at Big Smoke Burger. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing daily food operations and ensuring that all meals meet our high standards of quality and service.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in food service management, with a proven track record of leading teams to achieve excellent results. You will be responsible for managing inventory, controlling labor costs, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily food operations, including meal preparation, portioning, and presentation.
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet customer demand.
  • Control labor costs, by optimizing staffing levels and schedules to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Train and develop staff, providing guidance and support to help them improve their skills and performance.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in food service management, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Diploma or degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and labor cost control techniques.
