About the Role

Wood’s Homes is seeking a dedicated Foster Care Support Worker to join our Foster Care Network Program. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic and support services to children, youth, and their foster families to promote family-based care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home and crisis support to foster families and youth.
  • Review referrals, make placement recommendations, and attend meetings as required by immediate supervisor.
  • Coordinate and facilitate various systems meetings, including case conferences and planning meetings.
  • Represent the program and network with other programs and organizations to enhance understanding of the Foster Care Network.
  • Complete all required health and safety training.
  • Report workplace hazards, unsafe or unhealthy conditions, or incidents to their direct supervisor.
  • Share the values of Wood’s Homes.
  • Other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in one of the Human Sciences, Childcare, or a related field.
  • Minimum four years’ experience working with children and/or adolescents and families.
  • In-home support experience preferred.
  • Class 5 driver’s license and own transportation.
  • Personal suitability.
