About the Position: We are seeking a full-time live-in Foster Parent to provide specialized treatment-oriented family-based care for children in need. As a Foster Parent, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment, following all legislative and agency-mandated policies and procedures, and participating in the process of family reunification if appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day care for one youth, including meals, transportation, and daily activities.
- Attend meetings and respond to crisis situations as needed.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the child's treatment plan.
- Collaborate with our team to ensure the child's physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
Requirements:
- Experience working with vulnerable children and families or the willingness and ability to develop your knowledge and skills.
- Valid Alberta Driver's License, adequate insurance, and a SAFE Assessment, Police Information Check, and Intervention Record Check.
- Current and valid Standard First Aid/CPR certification.
