The Corporate IPM Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating Integrated Pest Management (IPM) across all company locations in Canada and the U.S. This position involves monitoring greenhouse crops for pests and diseases, developing and applying IPM strategies, and managing associated costs. The Corporate IPM Manager ensures consistency in IPM practices, drives innovation, and implements company-wide policies.

Additionally, this role will apply biological controls to minimize the risk of damage to plants and fruit, ensuring quality produce meets company standards and customer demands. The Corporate IPM Manager will also monitor and report on IPM performance, providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the implementation of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices across all company locations in Canada and the U.S., ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor pest management costs, optimizing for efficiency and budget compliance.
  • Research, recommend, and implement innovative strategies and technologies for pest and disease management.
  • Train, mentor, and lead IPM Managers and Scouts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Conduct weekly reviews of pest pressure and IPM effectiveness, providing detailed reports across all locations.
  • Collaborate with Operational Growers to develop and coordinate weekly IPM plans that align with company goals and quality standards.
  • Perform routine quality checks on biological controls and report findings to senior management. Conduct daily inspections of greenhouse crops to identify and address threats such as insects, diseases, and weeds.
  • Document and photograph findings, complete inspection reports, and provide routine updates to senior leadership.
  • Apply preventative measures and control products, ensuring proper documentation of actions taken.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Operational Growers, providing timely support in managing critical issues that could impact crop quality and growth.
  • Work closely with the Director of Growing Operations to establish and meet annual and quarterly IPM objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety, Health and Safety, and company policies.
  • Align IPM strategies with broader company objectives to support overall operational success.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to meet evolving business needs.
Requirements and Skills
  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or related field preferred.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience
  • Intermediate computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy, with consistent follow-through.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 15 feet.
  • Flexibility to shift assignments as required to meet business needs
