As an Administrative Support Professional with the Skyline Group of Companies, you will be responsible for providing operational support to our Fire & Life Safety Department.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for assisting in the development and coordination of fire safety plans, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

In this role, you will work closely with the Fire & Life Safety Specialist to develop detailed plans using computer-assisted design (CAD) software and graphics software for presentations, proposals, and fire safety plans.

You will also be responsible for regular liaison with city officials and fire prevention officers to ensure fire safety planning is up-to-date and in accordance with current practices, safety regulations, and codes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of fire and life safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Working with the Fire & Life Safety Specialist in creating, organizing, and presenting training related to fire and life safety equipment and systems
  • Maintaining and updating building plans, technical information, drawings, and other related information on building portfolio

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Post-secondary education equivalent to a college diploma in business administration or a related field
  • Experience working in a professional office environment
  • Extensive Excel knowledge
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and automobile insurance
