The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for day-to-day HR activities.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday

Location: Hybrid Work Environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and guidance to management on company policies, performance management, employee relations
  • Full cycle recruitment for client groups, including creating job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and issuing offer letters
  • Manage and monitor performance-related issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
  • Produce various reports weekly, monthly, and other reports as needed
  • Conduct investigations and ensure appropriate resolutions
  • Process and conduct terminations and resignations
  • Help foster and maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging employee experience
  • Main point of contact for client group; managing employee relations, attendance management, assisting with policy interpretation
  • Provide assistance and advice to employees regarding the interpretation and administration of HR policies and procedures
  • Participate in and co-manage the employee engagement committee
  • Maintain employee files on ADP and Iron Mountain
  • Active member of the Health & Safety programs and committee
  • Assist in the administration of the annual performance review process
  • Flexible hours as required to support different shifts
  • Lead in developing and implementing HR initiatives and programs
  • Assist the HR team with all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or related field
  • CHRP designation preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • 2-3 years of related experience
  • Experience with HRIS is required, knowledge in ADP considered an asset
  • Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with all levels of employees
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to commute to Guelph, ON required
