Bar Supervisor

Job Summary:
The AMS of UBC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supervisor (Bar) to join our team at the Pit Pub. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service and beverage quality while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe liquor service and compliance with legal requirements and AMS standards
- Achieve sales goals through upselling and providing excellent guest service
- Handle cash transactions and maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Supervise staff and ensure labor targets are achieved
- Assist with inventory management and ordering
- Report operational problems and maintenance issues to management
- Provide information to the public regarding bar operations
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of bartending experience in a high-volume bar environment
- Ability to do shift work and stand for extended periods
- POS experience required (preferably Squirrel)
- Serving-It-Right Certification required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment
