We are seeking an anesthesiologist to join our team at Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville, Nova Scotia.
The successful candidate will work with a collegial team of anesthesiologists who value work-life balance and provide care to patients in the Western Zone.
The hospital offers a full range of services, including surgical, internal medicine, intensive care, emergency medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, and radiology/diagnostic imaging.
Responsibilities- Provide anesthesia care to patients in the Western Zone, including general surgery, orthopedic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, and ENT.
- Participate in call shifts and provide support to the Western Zone as needed.
- Be responsible for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice, reporting to the Zone Anesthesia Department Head.
- Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
- Full-time position with equal participation in a 1:10 on-call schedule.
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
