Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Ontario Inc. as a key member of our culinary team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation and Cooking
    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
    • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Kitchen Management
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
    • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
    • Order supplies and equipment
    • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
    • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
    • Clean kitchen and work areas
    • Organize buffets and banquets

Requirements

  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years

Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Language

The primary language of work is English.

Work Term

This is a permanent position.

Hours of Work

The successful candidate will work 32 to 40 hours per week.

Cuisine Specialties

The successful candidate will have experience in Canadian and East Indian cuisine.
