Job Title: Bookkeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at 0892178 B.C. LTD. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: Provide physical accessibility accommodations and awareness training to employees.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition and offer mentorship programs.
  • Support for Youth: Offer on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities for youth.
  • Support for Veterans: Participate in government or community programs that support Veterans.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Offer mentorship and cultural competency training to Indigenous workers.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination and provide awareness training.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Offer mentorship programs and diversity training to visible minorities.
