Clinical Expert in Rare Disease Management

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Expert to join our team as a Medical Science Liaison for our client based in the Greater Toronto Area. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working in the rare disease space and will be responsible for building key opinion leader (KOL) partnerships by engaging in the exchange of scientific data and other medical and/or scientific information with external stakeholders (HCPs, researchers, professional organization leadership, and formulary decision-makers) in the assigned Therapeutic Area (TA).
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain relationships with recognized community and academic medical center KOLs to identify and address scientific needs and stay abreast of current scientific trends in the assigned Therapeutic Area.
- Identify and develop key thought leaders for medical education, clinical research, and publication opportunities.
- Cultivate existing and identify new collaborative KOL relationships for advisory boards, company-sponsored research, investigator-initiated research, and speaker development.
- Provide field insights gained to field managers and team for elevation within the organization.
- Identify opportunities and provide medical support including scientific education to healthcare professionals at key institutions.
- Completion of a graduate-level degree (Ph.D., PharmD., M.D., D.O, MSN, MS or equivalent healthcare professional degree) as well as relevant clinical experience.
- 3-5 years of MSL experience, specifically within rare disease.
- Experience working cross-functionally with different teams such as market access, commercial, etc...
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum depending on experience.
