About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Director of Rare Disease Management to join our team at Amicus Therapeutics. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our efforts in managing rare diseases and make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients.
Job Summary
The Regional Director of Rare Disease Management will be responsible for leading our team in Canada, developing and executing business strategies to drive growth and profitability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve company targets and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Main Responsibilities
- Business Development: Create and execute business plans to drive growth and profitability in the Canadian market. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers and payors.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a high-performing team of professionals to achieve business objectives. Provide coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to ensure team members reach their full potential.
- Compliance: Ensure that all business activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintain awareness of local laws and regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Finance, HR, Legal, and Compliance, to achieve business objectives and ensure alignment with company strategy.
- Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payors, and patient advocacy groups. Communicate effectively to build trust and support for our products and services.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance metrics to measure business success. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these challenges.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in pharmaceutical sales or management, preferably in the rare disease space.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. Proven ability to develop and execute business strategies to drive growth and profitability.
- Educational Background: A degree in a related field, such as life sciences or business.
- Languages: Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in French or other local languages desirable.
