Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, Canada is currently recruiting for a Business Unit Director for **Neuroscience, Rare Disease & General Medicine (NRG) **located in Toronto, Ontario.

As the **Neuroscience, Rare Disease & General Medicine (NRG) Business **Unit Director, this position will be accountable for leading a team of sales and marketing professionals in the development and implementation of a strategy and executional plan that will most effectively grow the business. As part of the Sales & Marketing Leadership Team, they will also be accountable for supporting the overall growth and success of sales and marketing function. This is a critical leadership and developmental position within the organization.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

- Leading a large, national commercial team in the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans that will ensure a strong competitive focus and maximize business results now and in the future.
- Building and maintaining a team of engaged and high performing people including being responsible for the recruitment, development, coaching and overall performance and development of direct reports, and others.
- Collaborating effectively across the multiple functions within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, Canada to drive business results, and ensure a high-performance culture for the team.
- Collaborating with Medical Affairs and New Business counterparts, and global J&J (Johnson & Johnson) counterparts to prepare for new business opportunities and models.
- Building long term, productive relationships externally with customers to build insight-based strategies and shape the external environment
- Participate as a strategic member of the Sales & Marketing Leadership Team

The compensation for this role: $143,000-$247,250.

**Qualifications**:
**Qualifications - External**
- A minimum of a University degree is required, preferably in Life Sciences or Business; MBA an asset.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in progressive leadership roles, including multiple director level experiences and experience through multiple stages of a brand’s lifecycle is required.
- Must have proven abilities to grow a business.
- Demonstrated broad and deep knowledge of marketing at the ‘expert’ level including brand strategy, financial management, franchise management, and marketing execution with direct experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a strong asset.
- Demonstration of leadership competencies including, a global /enterprise side attitude, strength in talent acquisition, and development and team engagement, the ability to challenge the status quo and shape and lead change and the ability to forge internal collaboration across all levels of the enterprise.
- Demonstration of Johnson & Johnson Credo values.
- This position is located in Toronto, ON and requires travel of approximately 25% of the time across Canada.
- Bilingualism would be an asset (French).
