Global Travel Operations Specialist

Role Summary:
As a Travel Management Specialist at Volkswagen Group Canada, you will be responsible for determining travel policies and adapting them to local, legal, and corporate requirements. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional support in negotiations with service providers and travel agencies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with preferred partners for travel services, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Responsible for determining travel policies and regularly adapting them to local, legal, and corporate requirements.
- Provide professional support in optimizing the procurement process for all travel services, including consolidating demand.
- Oversee and control travel expenses at a higher level in alignment with travel policy guidelines.
- Conduct quality controls and generate reports on processes and workflows, highlighting necessary improvements.
- Foster an employee-oriented approach to travel management, addressing inquiries and providing professional assistance to enhance overall employee experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, vocational training as a travel agent, or a comparable qualification.
- Working experience in SAP Concur.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in travel management.
- Project management experience considered an asset.
- Familiarity with the purpose and logistics of corporate travel.
- Experience with local and global travel practices.
