About the Role

Paladin Security is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Security Guard to join our team. As a key member of our security staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of clients, buildings, and assets in a healthcare setting.

Job Description
  • Present a smart, visible, and alert security presence
  • Greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises
  • Ensure the safety & security of clients, buildings, and assets
  • Work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
  • Carry out all security duties as specified (including, but not limited to):Proactive/reactive interior & exterior patrolsResponse & assistance in emergency situationsDocumenting & reporting of any/all security events on shiftInvestigate routine incidentsPatient watchesParking & smoking by-law enforcementHospital policy awareness & enforcementAccess control/key controlMonthly safety inspectionsAdditional duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
  • Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
  • A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2) Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.
  • Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
  • Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred
  • Minimum 6 months of non-healthcare security experience preferred
  • Must be able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 months
  • English proficiency (oral & written) is required
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
  • 6+ months of customer service experience is considered an asset
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Stay Safe
  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's Stay Safe certification program prior to their onboarding certification to ensure they meet the requirements of the position Please be aware: The Stay Safe certification is not paid, however Paladin will cover all the costs of the certification with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is between $50,000-$70,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include competitive pay, opportunities for career advancement, and a comprehensive benefits package.
