Job Title: Healthcare Security Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Healthcare Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff at our Providence Care site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Present a visible and alert presence to deter and prevent unauthorized access to the site.
  • Employ strong customer service skills to greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all people, buildings, and assets on the site.
  • Work effectively, both independently and as part of a team, to investigate and report on any incidents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide photo ID and access cards for Providence Care sites, handle large sums of cash, and troubleshoot the parking gates and provide service to patrons using the parking system and gates.
  • Perform administrative duties as required and additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certificate from a WSIB-approved provider.
  • Ability to be clean-shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double vaccination).
  • Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check during onboarding.
  • Minimum 6 months of healthcare security experience preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of non-healthcare security experience preferred.
  • Must be able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 months.
  • English proficiency (oral and written) is required.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
  • 6+ months of customer service experience is considered an asset.
