Covertite Eastern Ltd is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for various construction projects. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our bids are competitive and meet the client's requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills. * Preparing estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
* Reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
* Preparing master format estimates (Class A) and elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D)
* Preparing estimates for general expenses and overheads
* Providing economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
* Creating and submitting estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
* Utilizing quantity take-off procedures
* Advising on tendering procedures
* Analyzing tenders and recommending awards
* Preparing and maintaining a directory of supplies and trade contractors
* Liaising with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
