Job Title: Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Covertite Eastern Ltd. As a key member of our estimating department, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and detailed estimates for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate Labour and Material Costs: Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure that estimates are accurate and comprehensive.
  • Prepare Estimates: Prepare master format estimates (Class A) and elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D) for construction projects, taking into account general expenses and overheads.
  • Provide Feasibility Studies: Conduct economic feasibility studies and provide preliminary estimates for proposed projects, ensuring that they align with company goals and objectives.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to discuss changes and adjustments to cost estimates, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 44 hours per week.
