Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Interwest Restaurants Inc. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent service to our customers.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff.
- Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, providing exceptional service and ensuring that their needs are met.
- Record Keeping: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing accurate and timely information to management.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit reports, providing management with valuable insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.
- Work Setting: Food service establishment, coffee shop, fast food outlet or concession, or restaurant.
- Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and physically demanding work environment.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and team player.

- Support for Indigenous People: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people, offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities, develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees, and facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
- Support for Mature Workers: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports mature workers, applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination, provides staff with awareness training, offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities, offers phased retirement options, offers phased re-entry options, provides workspace accommodations, and offers resources to help mature workers plan their retirement.
