Senior Sales Development Manager for Pipe Industry

**Job Overview:**
Rashmi Metaliks is seeking an accomplished Senior Sales Development Manager to drive sales growth and expand its client base in the pipe industry. The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of experience in selling GRP, HDPE, OPVC, or DI pipes and have a deep understanding of the technical specifications, benefits, and applications of these products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets for GRP, HDPE, OPVC, and DI pipes.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding the customer base in the infrastructure, water supply, and industrial sectors.
- BUILD AND MAINTAIN STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH KEY DECISION-MAKERS IN CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES, WATER UTILITIES, GOVERNMENT BODIES, AND INDUSTRIAL CLIENTS.
- Understand client needs, present product solutions, and negotiate contracts and terms to close sales deals.
- Manage key accounts by providing exceptional customer service, ensuring timely delivery of products, and addressing any post-sales issues or concerns.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and potential market opportunities.
- Provide feedback to management regarding market conditions, competitor analysis, and potential areas for growth.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of GRP, HDPE, OPVC, and DI pipes, including their applications, advantages, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with the technical and marketing teams to provide customers with accurate product information and tailored solutions.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports for management, providing insights into sales performance, pipeline status, and areas for improvement.
- Track and report on sales activities, including customer meetings, negotiations, and closed deals.
- Liaise with the technical teams to ensure that customer needs are met with the right products and solutions.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients while ensuring profitability and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure that all contracts and agreements comply with legal requirements and company guidelines.
- Regularly assess personal sales performance against targets and take corrective actions where necessary to meet or exceed goals.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a related field. A master's in business administration (MBA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in GRP, HDPE, OPVC, or DI pipes, preferably in the infrastructure, water supply, or industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of the technical specifications, benefits, and applications of GRP, HDPE, OPVC, and DI pipes.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand market trends and dynamics.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Sales Acumen: Ability to generate leads, negotiate contracts, and close high value sales deals.
