Position: Land Analyst (Hybrid-Fulltime) – Intermediate to Senior

We are excited to present an opportunity for a Land Analyst at our Calgary or Grande Prairie office. This role is designed for individuals at the intermediate to senior level and offers a hybrid work arrangement.

About BASE Land & Environmental

BASE is a swiftly growing company in the Land and Environmental sector, catering to a diverse range of clients across various industries, including large-scale pipeline projects, power transmission, transportation and infrastructure, telecommunications, upstream oil and gas, renewable energy, and mineral acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing new project files in the database, updating records, and maintaining project status
  • Conducting land title, corporate searches, and registrations
  • Managing Directive 056 notification programs
  • Drafting requests for third-party agreements and consents
  • Preparing surface legal documents and related paperwork
  • Commissioning affidavits
  • Submitting Crown applications for disposition
  • Identifying interested parties in accordance with provincial regulations
  • Performing self-audits of work output
  • Staying informed on relevant local news and affairs
  • Issuing third-party agreements
  • Completing monthly surface and mineral rental tasks
  • Carrying out additional duties as required

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience for intermediate level; 3-5 years for senior level in a related field
  • Preferred diploma in Land Administration
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, power transmission, and distribution
  • Familiarity with AER and BCER regulations and processes
  • Knowledge of AUC and power-related procedures
  • Valid Commissioner for Oaths certification
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of Canadian/provincial regulatory processes and land systems
  • Quick learner with strong organizational skills
  • Self-driven and motivated
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently
  • Skilled in building and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • High proficiency in standard applications such as MS Office
  • Experience with various land systems
  • Knowledge of Alberta Freehold and Crown Acquisition is advantageous; BC knowledge is a plus but not mandatory
  • Experience with FNC submission and administration is a benefit
  • Familiarity with P2 and CS Explorer is considered an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually
