Role Overview: As a Full-Time Traveling Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence by leveraging your technical expertise and sales acumen. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, presenting our solutions, and ensuring that our products meet the unique needs of each customer. Your role will involve substantial travel to visit clients, attend industry events, and conduct on-site demonstrations (with support from our technical team). Your role will be vital in generating leads and establishing a relationship with new customers.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead Generation: Proactively identify and generate new business leads through various channels including cold calling, networking, industry events, referrals, etc.

· Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions—all meeting their budget.

· Technical Presentations:

o Deliver compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations that highlight the value of our solutions.

o Articulate technology capabilities and process benefits of our solutions, organization, and products via presentations, demonstrations, cost benefit analysis (ROI), Proof Of Concept engagements, and service projects

· Solution Customization: Work closely with the engineering team to customize solutions and provide technical support throughout the sales process.

· Account Management:

o Establish and manage new accounts utilizing our sales process from initial contact through PO

o Provide ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction.

o Support other team members as required

· Market Analysis: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, keeping abreast of industry trends and competitor activities.

· Travel: Based out of Burlington HQ, travel extensively to client sites, industry events, and trade shows.

· Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and market trends to the management team.

o Generate detailed and accurate forecasting of opportunities

Qualifications:

· Experience:

o Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales engineering role

o Formal sales training is preferred

o Demonstrated ability to drive sales and build lasting client relationships.

· Technical Skills: Strong understanding of CAD/CAM and metrology

o Bachelor's degree / diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, quality control or a related technical field is an asset

o Proficient in Microsoft Office products, and CRMs

· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

· Travel: Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays and international travel as required.

o Valid Canadian driver's license and passport or other type of document that allows international travel

· Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different environments and client needs with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

o Dedicated work ethic and willing to work the hours required for the sales engineer role
