Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Freedom Respiratory and Sleep Centre Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care therapy to patients with various respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, such as spirometry and peak flow measurements, to assess lung function and diagnose respiratory disorders.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, including oxygen saturation, heart rate, and blood pressure, to ensure safe and effective treatment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex respiratory needs.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in respiratory therapy or a related field.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in respiratory care therapy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
