About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at ESSKAY HOMES INC. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Budgeting

Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that all costs are accurately estimated and controlled.

Schedule Management

Plan and coordinate project schedules, including setting milestones and deadlines, and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion.

Contract Administration

Prepare and negotiate contracts, revisions, and changes to contractual agreements, ensuring that all parties are aware of their obligations and responsibilities.

Quality Control

Establish and implement quality control policies and procedures, ensuring that all construction work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Team Management

Direct and supervise a team of construction professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.

Communication and Reporting

Develop and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, including project sponsors, clients, and team members, to ensure that all parties are informed and up-to-date on project progress and issues.

Requirements
  • Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as construction management, engineering, or a related field.

Experience

At least 1 year of experience in a construction project management role, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Skills and Knowledge

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including project sponsors, clients, and team members.

Technical Skills

Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project, with the ability to use these tools to manage and analyze project data.

Equipment and Machinery Experience

Experience with hand tools and equipment, with the ability to operate and maintain construction equipment safely and effectively.

Transportation and Travel

Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle, with the ability to travel to project sites as required.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high levels of pressure, while maintaining attention to detail and a high level of professionalism.
